It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy Mark Baker Sr., a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. Tim passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at the age of 66, in Oswego, NY.
Born on Thursday, November 26th, 1959, in Oswego, New York, Tim was the cherished son of Ulah A. Baker and the late Edwin Harold Baker Jr. He spent nearly three decades as a dedicated welder at Armstrong World Industries in Volney, NY, where he was known for his exceptional skill and commitment to his craft.
Tim's life was filled with passions that brought him joy and fulfillment. He was an avid fan of motorcycle races, particularly American Flat Track racing, and never missed a NASCAR event. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enthusiasm for hunting and fishing, and he found great pleasure in watching Western movies with a cold beer in hand.
Tim is survived by his devoted mother, Ulah A. Baker, his loving children, Ashley (Mike LaBeef) Green and Timothy Baker Jr. He leaves behind his siblings, Edwin (Michele) Baker III, Jeffrey (Kelley) F. Baker, Darrell (Brandy) Baker, and Jodi (Thomas) Corsoniti; wife, Shirley Baker. Tim was also a cherished uncle to several nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many.
A private graveside service will be held in Fairdale Cemetery. The family invites those who wish to leave a special message or memory to sign the guestbook.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tim's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice, honoring his generous spirit and love for helping others.
Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness, skill, and passion will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
