Obituary of Steven T. LaBeef Steven T. “Beefer” LaBeef, 71, of Fulton, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Fulton and graduated in 1963 from Fulton High School. Steven served in the Army from 1965 until 1967. He retired from International Paper in 2001 and opened his own handyman business. Steven loved spending his time fishing and was known as “Taz” to the local fishermen. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at picnics and pig roasts. Steven was predeceased by his parents, Mador and Margaret (Clemons) LaBeef; sister, Agnes Hemings; brother, Joseph LaBeef; three brother-in-laws, Fred Allen, Bruce Wheelock and Bob Hemings and also two sister-in-laws, Millie LaBeef and Patricia Farmer. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Sherry LaBeef of Fulton; a daughter, Dionne LaBeef; adopted daughter, Tracy Brown of Fulton; three sisters, Joanne (Tod) Gibson of Fulton, Madora Allen of Fulton and Margaret Wheelock of Dexter; sister-in-law, Paulette (Chuck) Houck of Virginia as well as several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. A service in Steven’s memory will be held at a future date. Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of the arrangements.
