Obituary of Shirley E. Kerfien Shirley E. Kerfien, 80, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Oswego Hospital. She was born on April 5, 1937, in Syracuse, a daughter to the late Edward and Blanche Fidler Burt. Shirley retired from the Fulton City School District as a lunch monitor after more than 30 years of service. She was predeceased by her husband, Duane “Tuff” Kerfien in 2015 and sister, Clarabelle Spaulding. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her daughter, Rhonda Lee Kerfien (David) Hutchins; four grandchildren, Joseph Duane Hutchins, Amy (Jeremy) Mikels, Jill (Kris) Graham and Daniel (Pamela) Hutchins; six great-grandchildren, Mason and Colton Mikels, Alexis and Logan Graham and Brianna and Samantha Hutchins; a sister, Betty J. Schrader as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home in Hannibal with burial to follow at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
