Shirley W. Daniels

Shirley W. Daniels, 93, of Palermo, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Born in Fulton, she was a daughter to the late William and Reta (Dunn) Wesley. Shirley was a student at the one room Grout Schoolhouse then graduated from Fulton High School. She worked as a child support examiner for Oswego County Department of Social Services and as the Palermo Town Clerk. Shirley enjoyed fishing, hunting and visiting Moon Lake, Red Lake and Tug Hill. She loved gardening, cooking, canning and baking. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd; her son, Martin Daniels, and her brother, Robert Wesley.

Surviving are her four children, Lorraine (Geoffrey) Geer, Claudia (late John), Henderson, John (Bernadette) Daniels, and Rosalie Salce; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, with a service to immediately follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery.
