Obituary of Shane D. Moore July 11, 2016 Shane D. Moore, 54, of Volney, died suddenly on Monday, July 11 as a result of a logging accident. He was a graduate of Mexico High School and was a life resident of the Mexico –Volney area. Shane owned and operated Shane Moore & Sons logging company in Volney. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Shane was predeceased by his father, Vance Moore and sister, Sheri Moore. Surviving are his longtime companion, Emily Gorman; sons, Steven, Kaleb and Kyle (Valerie) Moore; his mother and step-father, Eleanor (Albert) Hartka; siblings, Dorothy Ginn, Robert (Jennifer) Moore, Robin Crary and Melissa Moore; a grand-daughter and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 15 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street in Fulton. Graveside services at Vermillion Cemetery will be private. Memorial contributions are encouraged to a favorite charity.
