Obituary of Sally A. Farden Sally A. Farden, 81, of Sterling, passed away on Saturday, January 6 at Oswego Hospital. She was born on September 1, 1936, in Hannibal, the youngest child of eight to the late Jay and Corinne King Scanlon. In 1955 she married her husband, Harold, and soon after settled in Sterling, on Farden Road where they raised their family. Sally was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Hannibal. She passionately devoted her life to raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loving everyone unconditionally. Sally has joined her beloved parents and five siblings. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Harold; four children, Donna Lindner of Baldwinsville, Jack (Connie Lutz) Farden of Fulton, Rhonda (Frank) Koskowski of Sterling and Lisa (John) June of Sterling; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandsons; two siblings, George “Bud” Scanlon and Agnes Schneider as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 11 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Friday, January 12 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 931 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego.
