Obituary of Ruth A. Halstead Ruth A. Halstead, 88, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Seneca Hill Manor. She was born in 1931, in Volney, a daughter to the late Lawrence and Lillian Pluff Harding. James and Catherine Milligan raised Ruth from infancy and eventually adopted her at the age of 12. Ruth was memorable for her yard sales and finding a bargain but above all she loved raising her family and step-children. She will be remembered for being feisty and having a larger than life personality. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Clark “Howard” Halstead in 2018. She is survived by five children, Joyce (Gregg) Forsythe, Linda Halstead, Cathy (David) Forsythe, James (Karen) Halstead and David (Kristen Binder) Halstead; two step-children, Frank (Norma) Halstead and Mary Ann Merritt as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. All services will be held privately. Burial will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.
