Obituary of Ruth I. Delaney Ruth Irene Craner Keller Delaney, after a brief decline in health, passed on to Heaven on December 5, 2020, with her son, Mark, and Kim, his wife, at her bedside at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego, where she had lived since November 2018. Ruth was born March 22, 1931 in Syracuse, a daughter to the late Leslie and Illah Hinman Craner, and was a resident of Fulton for over 58 years. Ruth graduated from Mexico Academy Central School in 1950 and C.C.B.I. in 1951. She married Bernard D. Keller on October 3, 1952. Ruth worked as a secretary/clerk for the Department of Parks in Syracuse, the Container Corporation of America, the Nestle Company, and the Green Thumb Program. Ruth was a babysitter for a number of families in the Fulton area for many years. She was an active member of the Fulton Church of the Nazarene where she served as Treasurer, Missionary President and Sunday School teacher for over 25 years. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Bernard D. Keller, who died in a one car accident on January 1, 1958, by her second husband, Raymond J. Delaney, who died, April 14, 2014, her sister, Judy Shortsleeve, and by her grandson, Michael Horn, who died October 7, 2016. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jean Horn of Vancouver, WA, and by her son, Mark (Kim) Keller of Norwood, NY; two sisters, Nancy Karapin of Camillus and Jean (Bill) Bianchi of New Haven, CT; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Dennis) Gavin of Gladstone, OR and Matthew (Emily Wood) Keller of Potsdam, NY; one great-grandchild, Alice Rose Keller of Potsdam, NY, as well as six nieces and two nephews. All services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Upson Corners Cemetery. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.
