Ruby Crandall Burch Whitten

Obituary of Ruby Crandall Burch Whitten October 1, 2014 Ruby Crandall Burch Whitten, 71, of Oswego, peacefully passed away Wednesday with her family by her side. Born in Fulton to the late William Crandall and Marjorie Duell, she had lived in Toledo, Ohio for more than 20 years before moving back to the area. Ruby had worked many years for Owens-Illinois and more recently at The Village Shops in Fulton with her daughter. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and loved animals, especially her four-legged companion, Banjo. She loved the family she had created. Ruby will be greatly missed and forever loved by her husband of 29 years, David; her daughters, Rebecca Burch, Kimberly Burch and Renee (Mike) Doney; her grandchildren, Hillary Hewitt and Michael and Walker Doney; great-grandchildren, Quinn-tessa and Bella. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 7 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, Ruby’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to Oswego County SPCA (OCAWL), P.O. Box 442, Fulton, 13069.
