Ronald E. Stuber, age 72, of Oswego, NY passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025 after a long battle with dementia and Parkinson's Disease. He was born on January 30, 1953, to Dean and Helen Stuber of Fulton, NY.
Ron worked for 20 years as a mechanic for Miller Brewing Company until it closed in September 1994. He finished his career with Anheuser-Busch until he retired in 2014. His life-long love of hunting, fishing, and boating kept him busy his entire life. He enjoyed being a grandfather and made it to every soccer game, concert, dance recital and award ceremony until Parkinson's limited his ability. His golden years were filled with tinkering in his garage, peaceful walks on the trails of his cherished 80 acres, and fishing and golfing with his best friend.
Ron is predeceased by his parents, Dean E. Stuber and Helen M. Stuber.
He is survived by his children, Kelly Hurlbut, Melissa Stuber, Leigha Stuber, Brandi Cox and Jonathan Stupke; grandchildren, Alec and Taylor Sova, Emma, Grace and Jack Monroe, Colton, Adelyn and Evelyn Cox, and Forrest Stupke. He is also survived by his sister and her husband, Deana and Steve Ives; his brother, Michael Shannon; his sister, Michelle McCann; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 11am to 1pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton NY. Burial will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association: Hope in Progress (apdaparkinson.org).
