Robert “Bob” J. France, age 83 of Fulton, NY passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Bob was born on November 5, 1941, to the late Robert and Helen France. Bob was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Sharon France; and grandson, Ricky Collins, Jr.
Bob is survived by his loving children, Jackie (Matt) Koster, Kimberly France, Becky (Bob) Wilmott, Walt (Lenore) Patalina, Patrick (Christy) Ward, Sharlene (Ron) Scott and Stephenie Ward; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Bob retired from Alcan after many years of dedicated service. He belonged to the Eastern Fantail Club. He raised show birds and participated in many competitions where he won many awards. He owned and operated Old N’ Oak where he refinished antique furniture. In his early days Bob was an avid sportsman; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching boxing. He loved his furry friends particularly German Shepherds. Bob most of all enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm and a funeral service celebrating Bob’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 11am at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal, NY.
