Rita F. Norton, 82, of Volney passed away October 31, 2026 at St. Lukes Health Service is Oswego. Born to the late Archie and Lorene Briggs Mouchka in Oskaloosa, Iowa, she moved to Fulton, NY when she married her late husband, Dennis, in the Blizzard of 1966. Rita worked for Nestle in Fulton from 1974 until the companies closing in 2003. She enjoyed riding with her husband on their Harley Davidson motorcycle, camping, trips with friends to Lancaster, PA and bus trips to Branson, MO.
Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Poudrier and Gail (Rick) Jones and grandchildren, Jon (Chelsea) Beeles and Jamie Beeles.
A calling hour will be Tuesday, November 10, 2026 from 3:00-4:00 pm with a service to follow at 4:00 pm at Mt. Pleasant Church, 2819 County Route 45, Fulton, NY 13069. Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (Located behind the church).
Donations in Rita’s memory may be made to Mt. Pleasant Church, 2819 County Route 45, Fulton, NY 13069.
