Rickie J. Carter

Rickie J. Carter, 50, of Hannibal NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Oswego Hospital. Born in Oswego, he was the son to Carl and Linda (Green) Carter. He graduated from Hannibal High School and went on to reside with his wife and raise his family in Hannibal. Rickie enjoyed life to the fullest and will always be remembered for being the life of the party and always making everyone around him laugh. He loved spending his free time at the gym, hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and traveling making memories with his wife, but above all he loved his family and friends with his whole heart. He will always be remembered for how he could make everybody laugh and feel loved. Rickie was predeceased by his father, Carl, his brothers, Richard and Danny and his dog Remington.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 30 years, Melissa, his two children, Taber (Alexandra Baio) and Jaager (JahLyssa Westberry); his mother, Linda; 5 siblings; his beloved dogs Apollo and Aspen along with his grandcat, Cruella and grandpup, Tillie and several nieces and nephews.

There will be Celebration of Life in the spring. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
