Richard L. Stauring, 85 of Hannibal, NY passed away at home on August 28,2025.

He was predeceased by his father, Ernest W. Stauring and his mother, Aneita L. McGreevy; a brother, Harry E. Stauring.

Left to cherish Richard’s memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Janis (Gagliardo) Stauring; two sons, Richard (Connie) Stauring Jr. and Mark (Sandra) Stauring; one daughter, Cindy (Sherman) McCollum; five grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Stauring, Erica (Jayden) Brown, Zachary (Nathan) Stauring, Tyler Stauring and Gabrielle Syrell; his siblings, Sharon (Fred) Mannino, Peter (Linda) Stauring, Joe (Linda) Stauring, Bob (Debbie) Stauring, Cathy Lenweaver Palmitesso along with many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Richard served in the Air National Guard. He started his work career at Sealright in Fulton, NY as a machinist, and he worked at many other machine shops in the area to finally retire from Alcan in Oswego, NY.

Richard was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a skilled carpenter and a jack of all trades with a tremendous work ethic. He was a dedicated and caring husband, father and grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
