Obituary of Richard J. Bennett, Jr. Richard J. Bennett, Jr., 68, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Crouse Hospital. He was born in 1952, in Fulton, a son to the late Richard and Bernadette Armstrong Bennett, Sr. Father to a loving son, husband to a loving wife, and friend to everyone. His quick wit, warm heart and welcoming smile will be missed by all. Always quick to lend a hand to anyone in pain. Well-traveled, well-seasoned and well-loved. He had stories for every situation (most of them true) and could entertain for hours. His presence brightened every gathering, and his absence will be felt at all future events. Rick taught us many things along the way; things to do and things not to do. From maintaining a house and vehicle to avoiding eating meat on a stick in a foreign land. From cooking tips to MacGyver fixes. He was a jack of all trades and master of most. Rick will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife of 33 years, Susan Collins Bennett; one son, Collin Bennett; one sister, Kim Sears as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Face coverings and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your charity of choice in Rick’s memory.
