Obituary of Raymond E. Barton Raymond Edwin Barton, 92, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, January 28 at Seneca Hill Manor surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on January 10, 1926, in Palmer, Massachusetts, a son to the late Raymond Edward and Nora Woodhouse Barton. Ray was a veteran of the US Navy serving more than 30 years, including World War II. Prior to his retirement years he worked at Jarvis & Jarvis in Palmer, Massachusetts. He was an avid fisherman and was an active member of Grace Episcopal Church in Mexico. Ray was also a member of the Masonic Fraternity and Order of the Eastern Star. He was predeceased by first wife of 36 years, Joyce Barton and sister, Phyllis Walder. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wilhelmina Barton; four children, Sheryl (Bob) Hale of Hannibal, William (Chrystall) Perkins of Blossvale, Kim (Gary) Barcher of Massachusetts and David (Karen) Barton of North Carolina; three siblings, Lester Barton, Robert Barton and Edith Young all of Massachusetts and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 1 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
