Pearl I. Pontante

Pearl I. Pontante, age 95 of Fulton, NY passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul J. Pontante; parents, Luman and Ethel (Elliot) Munger; four brothers; and three sisters.

Pearl is survived by her three loving children, Paula M. (Michael Bansner) Dowdle, Daniel A. (Kyoko) Pontante and Ann Marie Pontante; sister, Sharon (Keith) Warner; grandchildren, Christina (Travis) Haynes and Brian W. (Allison) Dowdle; five great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pearl was the proud owner of Pearl’s Beauty Shop located in Fulton for over 25 years. She was famous for her crochet Afghans and designed her own patterns. She was an avid reader, she enjoyed word search puzzles, and bird watching. She had an infectious laugh that lit up a room. Pearl enjoyed spending time with her family; she was the heart of the family! She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. As per Pearl’s wishes there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Parish, 309 Buffalo St, Fulton, NY 13069.
