Obituary of Parker E. Rockwood October 7, 2014 Parker E. Rockwood, 85, of Baldwinsville, passed away Tuesday at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville. He was born in Fulton, a son to the late Erwin and Ruth Dann Rockwood and resided in Baldwinsville for over 40 years. Parker graduated from Fulton High School in 1946 and Morrisville State College in 1948. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. Parker retired as an insurance agent with State Farm, where he worked for 42 years. Parker and his wife, Eloise, enjoyed traveling and ball room dancing. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed trap shooting and was a member of the Mad River Club. Parker was also a member of the Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eloise M. Rockwood of Baldwinsville; a daughter, Diane (Edward) Swiderski of Rockford, Il.; a son, David (Linda) Rockwood of Deerfield, NY; two brothers, Foster (Rae) Rockwood of Oswego and Warren (Helena) Rockwood of Fulton; two sisters, Christine (Edward) Tryniski and Roberta Buck both of Fulton; two grandchildren, Matthew and Amy Rockwood; one great granddaughter, Autumn Rose Ambrose as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Monday, October 13 at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Contributions in memory of Mr. Rockwood may be made to the Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 17 Genesee St., Baldwinsville, NY 13027 or to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, Gift Processing Center, P.O.
