Pamela Jean Griswold, 51, of Parish, NY, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Born in Syracuse, she graduated from Mexico High School, leaving lasting impressions on all who knew and loved her during those years. She traveled the country with her “corn babies” in tow — the loves of her life, Angeline Elizabeth (“Hootie”), Danielle Marie (“Sunshine Lady Bug”), and Dennis Daniel (“Gentle Giant”).
Family was everything to Pamela. She poured her heart into those she loved, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life and the source of her greatest joy. Pamela’s warmth, humor, and unwavering concern for all but herself is the bright legacy she leaves behind. Her infectious laugh spread through a room like wildfire, bringing joy and light to everyone around her. Her spicy personality and no-filter charm could leave people speechless at times, but it is part of what we all remember fondly, often with laughter.
Known for her beautiful green eyes, she also had a special love for the color green and a fondness for owls, which reflected not only her spirit of wisdom and grace but also her oldest daughter Angeline’s nickname, “Hootie,” given by Pamela’s brother, Bobby, when Angeline was a baby.
Pamela shared a close bond with her sister, Christina (“Cryass”), built through their mutual love of music and performance, which brought them joy and connection throughout their lives.
Pamela had a deep love and adoration for her parents. For the past decade, the three shared a bond that could only be described as the “3 Musketeers,” facing life’s challenges and joys side by side with unwavering loyalty and love.
Affectionately known as “Pamalamadingdong” to family and friends and lovingly called “Aunt Ning” by her nieces who adored her and who she helped care for as babies, her spirit will live on through all who loved her.
A gifted singer, songwriter, and piano player, Pamela found peace and happiness through music, sharing her talents generously. She later built a career as a talented hairdresser, where her kindness and creativity brightened the days of many.
She is survived by her loving parents, Robert and Barbara Griswold; sister, Christina Cole (Daniel); brother, Robert Griswold II; beloved children, Angeline Griswold (Tyler), Danielle Guile (Mac), and Dennis Parker (Nelly); beloved grandchildren (Zayden, Waylon, Barrett, Carmen, Timmy, Wyatt), and her; nieces, (Sara and Briar); and nephew, (Jagger).
Pamela’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her boundless love and fierce spirit.
Rest easy, our courageous unicorn. You fought until you knew it was time to go home to Heaven to play piano with your grandson Roman and granddaughter Rosemary and sing while you wait for us all to be together again.
Rest Easy, Courageous Unicorn
Rest easy, our courageous unicorn,
Your fight was fierce, your heart was worn.
Until the time you chose to go,
To Heaven’s light, soft and slow.
There you play the piano’s song,
With Roman’s hands where you belong,
And Rosemary’s voice, so sweet and clear,
Singing songs we long to hear.
You wait where love and music blend,
Until we join you, friend to friend.
Till then, your spirit lights our way—
A guiding star, both night and day.
