Obituary of Nellie G. Mathews Nellie G. Mathews, 93, a lifetime resident of Hannibal, passed away Sunday at the Manor at Seneca Hill. After graduating from SUNY Oswego, she worked as an elementary school teacher for the Baldwinsville School District for 30 years. In her free time, Nellie enjoyed gardening, camping, and other outdoor activities. She was predeceased by her husband, V. Brien in 2015 and her siblings, John, Fred and Olga. She is survived by her son, Richard (Mary Ellen) Garbus of Fulton; sister, Lucy Frank of Phoenix as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, 706 E. Broadway, Fulton. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.
