Nancy M. (O'Grady) Schave

Nancy (O’Grady) Schave, 83, of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Upstate Community Hospital. Born in Howell, Michigan, she was a daughter to the late Leonard and Cecilia (Faler) O’Grady, and spent her formative years in West Branch, Michigan. In the 1980s, she moved to Syracuse, NY, where she would spend the remainder of her life as a homemaker and a home health aide. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Schave, and her brother Mark O’Grady.

Surviving are four children, John (Sheryl) Selesky, Karen (Marcus) Siemer, Jennifer (Greg) Gilliland, and Amy Hampson; eight grandchildren, Andrew (Victoria), David (Jamie) and Tom Selesky, Noah and Cameron (Caitlin) Fry; Lauren, Paige, and Kyle Hampson; four great-grandchildren, Bradley, Joseph, Nathaniel, and Abigail; two siblings, Anne Schmidt and Paul (Carolyn) O’Grady; many nieces and nephews.

A calling hour will be held from 11am – 12pm on Monday, August 17th at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton with a service to follow at 12pm. Burial will be at Mt. Adnah Cemetery.
