Michael Ashton “Mikey” Kelly
March 25, 2005 – October 27, 2026
Michael Ashton "Mikey" Kelly, 21, of Martville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
The baby of a large and loving family, Mikey was truly one of a kind. Quick-witted, incredibly smart, kindhearted, and just the right amount of trouble, he had a gift for making people laugh. Whether he was pulling an elaborate prank, giving someone a hard time, or saying something completely outrageous, there was never a dull moment with Mikey around.
He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, boyfriend, and friend. While he loved picking on the people closest to him, he had an even greater gift for making them feel loved. Mikey was the person who noticed when someone felt left out, listened without judgment, and showed up when it mattered. His heart was as big as his sense of humor, even if he sometimes tried to hide it behind a joke.
Family meant everything to Mikey, and in his world, family was never limited to blood. Growing up surrounded by siblings and countless others who became family along the way, he shared a special bond with each of them. His nieces and nephews absolutely adored him, and he was never too grown up to join their fun or encourage a little mischief.
Mikey enjoyed gaming, UFC, riding four-wheelers, working on vehicles, and spending time with family and friends. He shared a home with his beloved girlfriend, Madison, and their thoroughly spoiled dog, Daisy. He was also deeply loved by Madison’s family, who welcomed him as one of their own.
Mikey packed an extraordinary amount of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories into his 21 years. He will be remembered for his mischievous grin, his endless jokes, his compassionate heart, and the way he made everyone feel like they belonged.
In one final act of generosity, Mikey became an eye and tissue donor, giving the gift of sight, healing, and hope to others. His kindness and compassion will continue to touch lives in ways his family may never fully know.
Life with Mikey was never boring, and life without him will never be quite the same.
Mikey leaves behind his loving parents, Michael and Jamie Kelly; his sisters, Rebeckah (Jacob) Boyzuck, Hailey Kelly (Michael DiMura), Marissa Kelly, Brittany Kelly (John Richardson), and Jasmine Scruton; his brothers, Brendon Kelly (Asia DeSantis), Jared Allen, and Chris Ortiz; and the love of his life, Madison Engle.
He was the adored uncle of Jacob, Hunter, Jared, Isabella, Corey, Clyde, Zoey, Deanna, and Benjamin.
He was also deeply loved by Madison’s parents, Bruce and Courtney Engle, her sister, Hailey Engle, and Hailey’s boyfriend, Cole Gareau. He also leaves behind his best friend, Nevin Horning, whose friendship meant so much to him.
Mikey shared a special bond with his grandparents, Michael and Cyndee Kelly, Robert June, and Theresa (June) El-Hage, each of whom held an important place in his life. He treasured the time he spent with them.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Mikey for calling hours on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal, New York 13074.
Following the services, everyone is invited to a Celebration of Life at the Hannibal Firemen’s Hall for food, refreshments, shared memories, and plenty of laughter — just as Mikey would have wanted.
