Obituary of Matthew A. Merrill, Sr. Matthew A. Merrill, Sr., 35, of Fulton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at University Hospital. Born in Oswego, he was a son to Scotty and Maxine Dingman. Matt attended G. Ray Bodley High School and worked as a contractor with his dad. He enjoyed woodworking and hanging out with his family and friends. Matt’s main love was always his children and his mom. He was predeceased by his nephew, Braiden Raymond. He will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Scotty and Maxine; three children, Kelly Swatkowski, MaeLynn Merrill and Matthew Merrill, Jr.; 10 siblings, Shawn Merrill, Angel Dingman, Stosha Holley, Joseph Swatkowski, Johnny Swatkowski, Karin Dingman, Cloreesa Dingman, Alishia Dingman, Kevin Dingman and Scotty Dingman, Jr.; grandparents, Jerry and Yvonne Fredette and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Per his parent’s request, all services will be private. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
