Mary Jeanette Anthony

Mary J. Anthony, 76, of Hannibal, NY passed away at Oswego Hospital Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was born in Fulton, NY and grew up in Cato, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, Everett and Mary (Holwell) Watson, a sister, JoAnn Calkins, brother, Thomas Watson, and sister Elizabeth “Betty” Cole.

Mary is survived by her husband of 59 years, James W. Anthony; two sons, James W. Anthony, Jr (Christine) and Scott E. Anthony (Renné), both of Fulton; two daughters, Candice M. Bennett (Scott) of Fulton, NY and Tracy Stoutenger (Ryan) of Hannibal; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred Watson and Vern Watson, both of Hannibal, along with several nieces and nephews.

Mary worked at Nestle in Fulton for 32 years. She enjoyed camping and shopping. Mary was a very crafty woman. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids as often as possible.

A calling hour will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 4:00pm-5:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 5:00pm at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal, NY 13074. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Oswego County Senior Nutrition Services (Meals on Wheels) in Mary’s memory.
