Lula Belle "Lou" Green

Obituary of Lula Belle Green Lula “Lou” Belle Green earned her wings during the early morning hours of August 4, 2017 comfortably in her home at Seneca Hill Manor, at the age of 73. Lou was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on April 20, 1944 to Sidney and Louise (Zeringue) Campbell. She resided in Louisiana until moving to Sterling. She proudly worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Michaud Nursing Home, and was a lively, and sociable waitress at the Y Diner in Fairhaven, NY. She lived her happiest years in Fair Haven where she was surrounded by much love, and many friends. Lou’s passing brings forth a reunion of 70 years in the making, as she is welcomed into heaven by her mother and guardian angel; Louise. She also joins a sister, Willie Mae Campbell, maternal grandparents; Altheuse and Adolphina Zeringue, her paternal grandparents; a step mother; a brother, Robert Campbell, Eula Campbell, aunts, uncles and friends; all of whom Lula has missed and loved more than can be put into words. We are at peace knowing that she is surrounded by these beautiful souls. Lou is survived by her four children; Mitchell (Renee) Lanclos, Janet (Martin) Victory, Tina (Joshua) Malcott and Roger (Charity) Malcott Jr.; two grandsons, Braden Lanclos and Shawn Victory; one granddaughter, Rebecca Victory; sisters, Mary Ann (Marshall) Wyble, Mary Lee Badeux, Rose (Warlen) Stoute, Betty (Alfred) Stelly and Mary Lou (Timothy) Liddle; a brother, Danny Campbell as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and beloved staff at Seneca Manor. Lou made Seneca Hill Manor in Oswego, NY her home five years ago, where she was given immaculate care by a loving staff, to whom her family will be forever grateful. She was a part of the Manor’s “Tweety Bird Club” in which she helped raise money for different community causes, and participated in many outings, fundraisers and various activities. With immense respect for the medical field, Lula decided years ago that she would donate her body to science. Through this gift, she will further the education of future healthcare professionals, so that they may give to others the life-saving care that she was given throughout the years. Lula, we look forward to seeing your beautiful smile in our everyday thoughts, hearing your infectious laugh in our dreams at night, and reaching to you in times when we need strength. Lula asked for donations to the Seneca Hill Manor activities fund to be given in memory of her.
