Obituary of Louise C. Kellogg Louise C. Kellogg, 88, of Hannibal passed away at home on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She was the daughter of the late, Milburn and Emma DuBois Cooper. Louise was a graduate of Oswego High School and Oswego State Teachers College. She taught in Fayetteville, Hannibal, and retired from Cato-Meridian Central School in 1984 where she taught corrective reading for over 18 years. Louise was a member of the Hannibal United Methodist Church where she was the organist and very active in all its organizations and a founding member of Fountain of Life Christian Center in Hannibal. She was a past matron of Huldah Chapter Order of the Eastern Star; a past president of Alpha Iota Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an educational honorary professional organization for women educators; Oswego County Retired Teachers Association and New York State Retired Teachers Association serving as Friendly Service Chairwoman at the county and zone levels and a delegate to many of its annual conventions. Louise was also a member of the Hannibal and Oswego County Historical Societies; Sterling Senior Citizens, serving as co-chair of its bus trips since 2006, and a music volunteer at Meadowbrook Manor in Hannibal. She was honored by proclamation by the Oswego County Legislature naming September 23 as Louise Kellogg Day for the 21st District of Oswego County, Town of Hannibal. In her spare time she enjoyed playing card games. Louise was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Roger F. Kellogg, who died in 2008. Surviving are her children, Gail (Glenn) Frank of Millerton, PA and Gordon (Gwen) Kellogg of Hannibal; six grandchildren, Amy Hazlett, Angela Contee, Arika Brechbiel, Jennifer Kellogg, Shannon Zukovsky and Travis Kellogg; 11 great-grandchildren, Brittany, Kyle, Avery, Nicholas, Alexa, Olivia, Ava, Caleb, Kaelyn, Jeremy and Ivan. Calling hours are from 2 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, January 7 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, January 8 at the Hannibal Volunteer Fire Department, 155 Oswego Street, Hannibal with burial in the spring at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal.
