Obituary of Lillie Rosemond Ryder Wallace November 26, 2016 Lillie Rosemond Ryder Wallace, 93, a resident of County Route 43, New Haven, went to rest in peace with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 26 following a series of complications from congestive heart and kidney failure and a brief illness of pneumonia. Mrs. Wallace was a native of Fulton and daughter of the late Kenneth Mack Ryder and Clara Ellen MacDougall Ryder Stevens. She grew up in NorthVolney and lived most of her life in Palermo, where she and her husband raised their four children. Lillie graduated from Fulton High School, attended SUNY Oswego, attended BOCES where she received a certificate as a Physician’s Assistant, and graduated with a B.A.A. in education from Columbia Pacific University in 1984. Lillie was a member of the Palermo United Methodist Church and Missionary Alliance Church in Leisure City, FL and later attended the Church of Christ in Oswego. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, President of the American Birch chapter of Home Bureau, 4-H leader, an avid reader, active in politics and generous in the community. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, William Gerald Wallace; infant daughter, Una June; brother Vernon Ryder and sister Clara Lorraine Fox. Surviving are: a son, Gerald L. (Sara) of Lilburn, GA; three daughters, Gloria Joy Smith Larson (Fritz) of Jacksonville, FL, Lorraine Wallace Gregory (Curtis) of Mexico, NY and Carol Wallace Harp (James) of Barefoot Bay, FL; two sisters, Rosalind Wallace and Violet Pringle both of Fulton; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday November 29 at Foster Funeral Home 910 Fay Street in Fulton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 30 at 11:00 a.m. at North Volney United Methodist Church where Chad Lewis of the Church of Christ will Officiate. Burial will immediately follow in North Volney Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the North Volney Church immediately following the burial. Contributions in Lillie’s memory may be made to the North Volney United Methodist Church Fund, the Church of Christ in Oswego or the National Kidney Foundation of Central New York.
