Obituary of Judith “Mom” Gail VanName December 17, 2016 Judith “Judy” “Mom” Gail VanName, 76, of Sterling, NY passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse after an extended illness. She was born on November 13, 1940 in Richmond County, NY to the late Leroy and Edna Dawson VanName. Judy was a woman who always spoke her mind. After retiring from CBS in 1997, she moved to start her wonderful life in Sterling. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Wanamaker. Judy is survived by her loving companion of 43 years, James Aspinwall; sister, Barbara Donato; son, Allan (Debra) Walz, Jr.; granddaughter, Christina Romano; godson, Anthony Ruiz and was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday, December 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. with a service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal, NY 13074.
