Obituary of Joseph F. Vescio Joseph F. Vescio, 93 of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, June 3 at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego. A life resident of Fulton, he was a son of the late Angelo and Rosina Crai Vescio. Joe graduated from Fulton High School class of 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 during World War II. He retired in 1986 from Armstrong World Industries in Fulton as Production Planning and Traffic Manager after 40 years. Joe was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in Fulton. He had been a life member of V.F.W. Post 569 in Fulton and the Central NYS Transportation Club, a member of the Fulton Moose Lodge 1280 and former member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge 830. Joe was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Beverly Duell Vescio in 2005 and by siblings, Carmen, Frank, Anthony, Phillip, Angelo, Peter, Samuel Vescio, Angelina Talamo and Rose Clark. Surviving are his children, David (Terri) Vescio of Fulton and Valerie (Charles) Tucker of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Tara Smith, Angela Dineen and Kelly Vescio; great-grandchildren, Adriana and Alyssa Smith and Hailey and Ashlyn Dineen; sisters, Eleanor McGraw and June Johnston; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street in Fulton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6 at Holy Trinity Parish, corner of Rochester and South Third Streets in Fulton with Rev. Joseph Scardella officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Seventh Street in Fulton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Gardens by Morningstar for the compassionate care given to Joe during his stay.
