Joseph A. Fiumara, Sr.

Obituary of Joseph A. Fiumara, Sr. Joseph Fiumara, Sr., 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Loretto Nursing Home in Syracuse. Joe was an avid golfer and bowler. Bowling had been a large part of his life since setting pins in Syracuse as a teenager. Joe was a life member of the United States Golfing Association. He retired from Romano Motors in 2011. Joe was a devoted and loving husband to Carole for 55 years, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Carole in January; granddaughter, Heather Oney in 2009 as well as his twin brother, Sam and his brother, Nick. Surviving are his five children, Joseph (Chrissy) Jr. of Fulton, Julie Fiumara of Liverpool, Beth (Bill) Oney of Fulton, Michelle (Scott) Smith of Oswego and Chuck Fiumara of Liverpool; seven grandchildren, Jake, Stacey, Anthony, Stephanie, Justin, Rebecca and Ryan; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Connie, Sheri and Camille; a brother, Jimmy as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 21 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. There are no funeral services.
