Obituary of Joseph I. Cavallaro Long time Fulton resident, Joseph I. “Red” Cavallaro, 75, passed away peacefully January 25, 2018 at the Francis House in Syracuse. He was born October 6, 1942 to the late Ignazio George and Salastin “Sally” Calabria Cavallaro. He learned the barber trade from his uncle while still in high school and continued to enjoy this profession until recently. Joe is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Jeff Desko; grandsons, Ethan and David Desko, all of Camillus; son, Bill (Mayari) Cavallaro; grandson, Carlos Cavallaro and three step-grandchildren, all of North Carolina; long time dear friend, Carmella Demperio of Fulton, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
