Obituary of John A. Williams John A. “Johnny” Williams, 50, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Oswego Hospital surrounded by his family. Son to the late Robert and Patricia (Price) Williams, he was a lifelong resident of Fulton. Johnny loved music and was an accomplished, self-taught musician. He also enjoyed fishing, family and being with his friends. Johnny was always willing to help out family and friends, and enjoyed spending time with his grandson Izaiah. He also served in the United States Army from 1986 until 1992. Aside from his parents, Johnny was predeceased by his brother Phillip Kevin Williams. Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Cherie Williams of Fulton; four siblings, Steven (Carline) Williams of Maryland, Laurie (Jan Pierce) Rupracht of Mexico, Michael (Jacqueline) Williams of South Carolina and Sharon (Randy) Barnes of Palermo; two children, Kristin LaPointe of Florida and Paul LaPointe of Fulton; grandson, Izaiah VanBuren of Fulton; step-parents Francis and Linda Tyrrell of Fulton as well as several nieces and nephews.
