Obituary of Joanne M. Camp Joanne M. Camp, 86, formerly of Fulton, NY, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2017 at the Susquehanna Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Johnson City, NY. Born in Detroit, Joanne moved to Fine Lake, MI, at an early age; then moved to Marshall, MI, when she was a young teenager. Joanne graduated from Marshall High School and also attended some college at Michigan State University. Joanne lived in Florida; Westfield, NY, and Bloomfield, CT, before settling in Fulton. Joanne spent her last few years in the Binghamton, NY, area to be closer to loved ones. Joanne will always be remembered for her friendly and talkative nature as she was able to strike up a conversation with anyone. She loved caring for and spending time with her grandchildren, traveling with her husband, and music. Joanne played violin in her younger years and played the piano throughout her life. She served as chair of the music committee for many years at the Christian Science Church in Syracuse, NY, where she was a very active member.Joanne was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, William Camp in 2004; parents, Raymond and Daisy McKeachie and her brothers, Philip and Leslie McKeachie. Surviving are her son, David (Diane) Camp of Pleasanton, CA; daughter, Carolyn (Richard) Bonzek of Vestal, NY and her grandchildren, Owen and Ella Camp, MatthewAsher, Amy (Daniel) Hudy and Sarah Asher. A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 3 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. In lieu of calling hours, the family asks you to join them for food and conversation immediately following the memorial service from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Red Brick Pub, 224 West First Street, Fulton. No flowers, please.
