Obituary of James J. Ward James J. “Jim” Ward, 80, of Fulton passed away after an extended illness at the Syracuse VA on Tuesday. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis, returning to work as a salesman for Crucible Steel for 34 years. In his free time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Rita Lane Ward in 2011. Jim is survived by his children, Lenore Alnutt, Matthew Ward and Greg Ward; grandchildren, Brandon Andrew Clark, Sean Edward Alnutt, James Joseph Ward, Cassidy Alexis Benware, Jessica Jean Ward, and Emelya Rose Ward. As were Jim’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has care of arrangements.
