James “Randy” Hymers, 74, of Phoenix, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at home. Born in Fulton, he was the son of the late Betty Jean Williamson and graduated from JC Birdlebough, Phoenix in 1970. After high school, Randy was drafted to the US Army and served during Vietnam. He worked as a straddle truck operator for Crucible Steel, retiring in 2010. Randy was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan and an avid animal lover who enjoyed staying active, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Lissa.

He will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 51 years, Judy (Rose); two daughters, Jennifer (Mathew Nickel) Hymers, and Anna (Seth Cummings) Hymers; three grandsons, Ethan, Seth Jr., and Sidney; and sister, Terri Mayer.

Calling hours will be from 3-5 pm on Wednesday, July 8 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
