James D. Harris

James “Jim” D. Harris passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 76 at Oswego Hospital, after a long battle from a motor vehicle accident. Jim was born in Hannibal, NY to Leon and Nellie Harris. Later he moved to Fulton, NY where he became the singer for many, many bands then learned the bass guitar. His love of music was everywhere in his life, his passion, he loved writing songs and poems. Jim also loved the NY Yankees. If he wasn’t singing and playing bass guitar, you could find him at his business 5 cent bottle and can return. Jim was predeceased by his son, Jimmy V. Harris, his parents, his brother Michael; brothers-in-law, Richard, Robert, Vinny, and Rick.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Rose (Frataccia) Harris; his Aunt Velma Kirsch; brother-in-law, Dean (Rhonda) Frataccia; sisters-in-law, Theresa Frataccia, and Sandi Frataccia, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In respect to Jim’s wishes, services will be private. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
