Obituary of James V. Chappell February 20, 2017 James V. Chappell Sr, 61, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. A lifelong resident of Fulton, James worked as a machinist for many years at Pathfinder Industries and Phoenix Gauge. He was an avid bowler, loved playing horseshoes and also enjoyed making glass paintings for his family and friends. James was predeceased by his parents, Leonard Chappell and Marion Wilmot; a son, Thomas Chappell and an infant son. Surviving are three children, James Chappell of Fulton, Jason Chappell of Kentucky, Jeffrey Chappell of Fulton; four siblings, Leonard Chappell of Liverpool, Nancy (Lloyd) Chetney of Fulton, Donald (Kelly) Wilmot of Fulton, Bonnie Sue (Jay) Barrington of Phoenix; two step-brothers, Steven and Timothy Avery both of Rochester; a step-sister, Vicky Alfano of Rochester; step-mother, Darlene Chappell of Rochester; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Monday, February 27 from noon to 2 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Funeral services will immediately follow. Spring burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, So. Seventh St., Fulton. The family would like everyone to know that James gave the gift of life through organ donation.
