Obituary of Herbert J. Drought December 16, 2016 Herbert “Herbie” J. Drought, 93, of Fulton passed away on Friday. He was born in Amboy Center, NY on May 9, 1923 to the late Bertram and Mildred Dunn Drought. Herbert worked for Sealright in Fulton for 43 years, starting in the bottle cap department, then moving to the maintenance department and retiring as a maintenance supervisor. Herbie was a very caring man and enjoyed helping others. He enjoyed NASCAR, going to Oswego Speedway, “puttering” around, eating at Mimi’s Drive Inn and being a handyman for friends and family. Herbert was predeceased by his wife Arlene on August 6, 2001; daughter Dawn Drought on March 28, 2013; brothers, Kenneth “Ken” Drought on January 14, 1996, Clifford “Bud” Drought on March 29, 1998 and Royce Drought on November 6, 2016. Herbie will be forever loved by his daughter, Debbie (Jim) Rogalavich; sisters-in law, Lorena Wright of Candor, NY and Jeanette Drought of Camden, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Tuesday, December 20 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 21 at the funeral home.
