Obituary of Helen B. Walmsley February 3, 2017 Helen B. Walmsley (nee Bresee), 93, of Oswego, NY passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 in Oswego, NY. She was born on November 29, 1923 and daughter to H. Leo II and Mabel (nee Brown) Bresee. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernie Walmsley who died in 1987, two sisters, Dorothy Potts (Robert) and Gwen Belles (Clarence) and step-son, Clare Walmsley. Helen is survived by step-daughter, Jan (Michael) Campbell; several grandchildren; niece, Susan Spaeth (nee Belles) (Jay); many nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many friends and neighbors that loved Helen dearly. Helen enjoyed life to the fullest! Her favorite activities in her younger years were long rides in the country with her late husband Ernie, boating the 1000 Islands, golfing with great friends and working in her beautiful garden. The job she enjoyed the most was her time as a switchboard operator for Rollway Bearings Corp. in Syracuse. She was an avid volunteer with Beaver Lake Nature Center, Crouse Hospital, and Harborfest in Oswego (truly a favorite!). Helen loved watching all sports SU, Yankees and Giants! So many friends loved her fan enthusiasm! In her later years, Helen loved spending countless hours watching her hummingbirds from her screened porch, her garden view, dining and socializing with close friends. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Fulton, NY. She will be greatly missed and forever loved! Dear Auntie, thank you for giving me so many years to enjoy you!
