Harry L. McKinnon

Harry Lawrence McKinnon, a beloved resident of Oswego, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, at the age of 77. Harry was born on Tuesday, May 4th, 1948, in Auburn, New York. He was the cherished husband of Maryanne Patricia McKinnon, his devoted partner of 47 years.

Harry was a dedicated family man, survived by his loving wife, Maryanne, and his children, Sarah McKinnon, Christopher McKinnon, Justin (Nicole) McKinnon and Levi (Demetria) McKinnon. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Kiersten, Tyler, Makenzie, Faith, Charlotte, and Ella; as well as his treasured great-grandchildren, Olivia and Gianna. His beloved sister, Linda Waters, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends, will fondly remember Harry's sense of humor and warmth.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harry Vincent McKinnon and Charlotte T. McKinnon, his brother, Tom V. McKinnon, and his grandchild, Garrett McKinnon, Harry's memory will live on in all who knew him.

A graduate of Phoenix High School, Harry served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He spent his career as a diligent laborer at General Crush Stone, a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication. In his personal life, Harry enjoyed working on vehicles, especially fast cars, as a hobby. He was an avid fan of wrestling and loved watching his favorite TV show, Baywatch, often praising Pamela Anderson as his favorite star.

Harry found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, fostering a loving and supportive family environment throughout his life. Those who knew Harry will fondly remember him as a hardworking man with a great sense of humor and a loving heart.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 15th, 2026, from 11 AM to 12 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12 PM at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY. The family invites you to leave a special message and share your memories of Harry by signing the guestbook.
