Obituary of Gerald J. Whitney July 20, 2016 Gerald John Whitney, III, 62, of Hannibal, passed away on Wednesday, July 20 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 28, 1954, in Syracuse, a son to the late Gerald J. and Shirley Farrence Whitney, Jr. Gary “Fat Man” enjoyed driving truck throughout the highways of the United States. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Cyeonna Rose Whitney. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife, Goldie Whitney; girlfriend, Cynthia Sandler; four sons, Steven Whitney of Fulton, Waylon (Andrea) Whitney of Parish, Tom (Stephanie) Whitney of Fulton and Kenny Taylor of Hannibal; 16 grandchildren, Tasha, Shayne, Aylonna, Bryonna, Austin, Destiny, Makenzy, Makayla, Makyle, Treyvin, Trinity, Brandon, Ocean, Miracle, Eden and Olive as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on 12 noon to 2 p.m. Monday, July 25 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.
