Obituary of Georgia A. Dodge It is with great sorrow that the family of Georgia A. Dodge, of Oswego, announces her passing, in the presence of loved ones at Oswego Hospital on Saturday, March 9, 2019. She was born on December 8, 1931, in Palermo, a daughter to the late George and Lucille Chapple Bellinger. Georgia and her husband, Mel, were the owners of Coin-Op Amusements, where Georgia was the bookkeeper for many years. In 1987 they bought out The Putman & O’Brien Corporation, which is still running today. She was a loving, faithful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Georgia was also a mother figure and cared for many children that were not her own throughout the years. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Mel Dodge in 2015; daughter, Laurie Dodge in 1988; four sisters, Nancy Heaphy, Jane Hamilton, Betty Waugh and Beatrice LaRobardier and two brothers, Ken Bellinger and Eddie Lee Bellinger. Surviving are her seven children, Joseph (Patricia) Dodge, Barry Dodge, Valorie (Edward) Oleyourryk, Rebecca (Robert Gilmore) Dodge, Brenda (Thomas) Fletcher, Frederick Dodge and Melanie (Scott) Dodge-Stafford; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Diane (John) Berg; four brothers, Bernard Bellinger, Charles (Martha) Bellinger, Donald Bellinger and Robert Bellinger as well several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. A private burial will be held in the spring at Fairview (Bundyville) Cemetery, Volney.
