Obituary of George D. Miller September 25, 2014 George D. Miller, 68 of Fulton passed away Thursday. A native of Fulton, George was a lifelong resident of the area and had owned and operated GDM Welding. He was a life member of the Fulton Elks Club. He was also a member of the Fulton Moose Club, Almond Rod and Gun Club. George was an avid NASCAR fan and known for his “Magic Dust” Chicken BBQ’s. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Bernitta, his sister, Lois Dumas and his brother, Paul Miller. George will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife of 48 years, the former Cheryl Salsbery; children, David (Lynda), Scott and Jennifer. Poppie George will also be missed by his grandchildren, Angela, Christopher, Chelsea, Sara, Hunter, Madison, Logan, Bradley and five great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday with a service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. In lieu of flowers, George’s family suggests donations to Golisano Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Circle, Syracuse, NY 13210.
