George E. ""Chawgo"" Chawgo

Obituary of George E. Chawgo George “Chawgo” E. Chawgo, 75, of Fulton, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side. He proudly served in the Army, spending 31 months in Germany. Chawgo returned to work for the Fulton Telephone Company and retired as a supervisor after 40 years. He was predeceased by a brother, Carl Chawgo and a step-son, Richie Eckard. Chawgo will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years, Betty; children, Keith Chawgo, Kelly Ritter and Kim Chawgo; step-children, Kim (David) Berryhill, Denise (Tom) Grinnell and Julie Little; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Tim Chawgo and Ken Chawgo. Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m., Monday, December 18 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. In lieu of flowers, Chawgo’s family encourages donation be made to Hospice of Central New York, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088.
