Gail P. Denery

Gail P. Denery, 85, of Avondale, AZ, formerly of Palermo, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Legacy House of Avondale, Avondale, AZ on February 24, 2024.

Born in Syracuse to the late Arthur and Elizabeth Doss McGinley, she had resided in Palermo since age 3.  In 1958, she married her late husband of 50 years, Wilfred, and together they raised four children.  In addition to being a homemaker, she was a self-employed seamstress for 20 years with the Sterling Renaissance Festival.  Gail also enjoyed crocheting, traveling, attending concerts, singing in choirs and was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, in 2009; son Pat, in 2018; daughter-in-law Debbie, in 2019, along with five siblings.

Gail is survived by her loving children, Edward “Ed” (Ronda) Denery of Buckeye, AZ; Andy Denery of Palermo, NY and Jayne Denery of Van Buren, NY; grandchildren, Amanda Denery of Nashville, TN, Shawn Denery, Brian Denery  and Darragh Weber, all of Cherokee IA, and Brandon Denery of Buckeye, AZ; great-grandchildren, Seamus Denery, Molly Denery, Madelyn Weber, and Charlotte Denery.

Calling hours will be Monday, March 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, NY 13069.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 12:00 PM in Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton, NY 13069.  Spring burial will be in Roosevelt Cemetery, 12:15 pm on Friday, May 10, 2024.

Gail’s family would like to thank the staff of the Legacy House of Avondale for the loving and compassionate care of Gail.
