Obituary of Florine D. DeMar Florine DeMar, 92, of Fulton NY passed away peacefully after a short illness on Monday, July 1, 2019 with family by her side. A lifelong resident of Fulton, she was born at home on December 21, 1926, the youngest of eight children of Henry Paquette and Marie Daigle. At age 16, she was employed by Sealright, walking to work from her sister’s home on East Broadway. Florine married Clarence John DeMar in 1950 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fulton. They celebrated their 69th anniversary on June 17. She retired from Nestle’s in 1984 on the same day as her husband, where they both worked in the wrapping department. She enjoyed her flower gardens and being able to stay in her home throughout her elderly years. She especially cherished the time she spent with her family. She was predeceased by her sisters, Yvonne Towse, Cecilia Coville, Irene Myers, Lillian Stratton, Louise Gallagher, Marion “Nettie” Pollock, and her brother, Lawrence Paquette. Florine is survived by her husband, C. John DeMar and their four children: Claudette Borzumate of Fulton, Karen (Thomas) Greco of Fulton, John DeMar of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Joseph (Mary) DeMar of Liverpool; eight grandchildren, Michael (Casey) Borzumate of San Francisco, CA, Thomas (Erin) Greco of Cicero, Sarah (Brian) Coe of Fairport, Lisa DeMar (Sean Yang) of Gainesville, VA, Laura (Jin) Han of Gilbert, AZ, Steven DeMar of Gilbert, AZ, Joseph J. DeMar of Liverpool, and Mary Beth DeMar of Liverpool; five great-grandchildren, Owen Greco, Nadia Greco, Bryce Yang, Caitlyn Coe, and Christina Coe and several beloved nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 5 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 6 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, corner of Rochester and South Third Streets in Fulton. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton, immediately following the Mass.
