Obituary of Florence P. Stevens The North Volney Church bell tolled ten times on November 13, 2017 for Florence P. Stevens after 101 years of serving others through God. Born August 28, 1916 to Katherine and Ernest Allen in the house East of North Volney District #10 School House, she had resided in North Volney her entire life, operating the corner store for 45 years. Florence lived her life with an “open door” for visitors; her family would like to thank everyone for coming to her many birthday celebrations. She was predeceased by two husbands, Jack and Herbert; two children, Stacy and Kathleen. Florence is survived by four children, Tresia (Don) MacFarland, Alice Carter, Florence McDougall and Jack Morgan; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and great great great-grandchildren. She leaves a very blessed family of six generations. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, November 17 at North Volney Cemetery, Co. Rt. 4, North Volney. Donations honoring Florence Stevens will be welcomed to North Volney Church, 2563 Co. Rt. 6, Fulton, NY 13069. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has care of arrangements.
