Obituary of Ethel F. Hafner Ethel F. Hafner, 97, of Fulton, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego. She was born on February 27, 1920, in Buffalo, a daughter to the late Harold and Julia Hellems. Ethel received a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from Buffalo State and then continued on to receive a Physical Therapy degree from Loma Linda University in California. Her joys in life were her children, grandchildren, her flower gardens and church. She was predeceased by her brother, Carlton Hellems. Surviving are her three children, Karl (Tari) Hafner of Fulton, David (Melinda) Hafner of Baldwinsville and Kathleen (David) Wohlers of Baldwinsville; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Hafner, Danielle (MarquesJohnson) Hafner, Jonathan (Jenna) Hafner, Caitlin (Daniel) Grady, Lindsay (Andrew) Ludlow and Erin (Daniel) Lagreca; three great-granddaughters, Avery, Aria and Katherine as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Sunday, December 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville to follow.
