Elaine Mae Ylitalo

Elaine (Dumas) Ylitalo, 91 of Scriba, NY passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Elaine was born November 19, 1934, to the late, Charles and Viola (Haresign) Dumas of Minetto.

Elaine attended schools in Minetto and Oswego and was a Scriba Auxiliary Fire Dept volunteer and enjoyed helping people. She enjoyed crafting, baking, traveling America and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving children, Eric (Wendy) Ylitalo of Colfax, CA, Jeffrey “Jake” (Gail) Ylitalo of Plant City, Fl, Crystal (Steve) Houpt, Las Vegas, NV; brother, Arnold Dumas; sister, Ella (Tim) Furman; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, three step-brothers, a brother, a sister and husband, Clinton Ylitalo.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 3pm to 5pm at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton, NY. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5pm. Burial will be held in the spring where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Clinton.
