Edward J. Furze, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on November 29, 1952, in Syracuse, New York, Edward was a cherished member of the Fulton community.

Edward was the son of the late Richard and Elva Smith Furze. He was also predeceased by his son, Jason Furze, his sister, Debbie Furze, and his beloved fur babies, Chelsey and Midgett.

Edward's legacy is carried on by his surviving family: his brother, Rick Furze, and sister, Cheryl (Rich) Furze. He leaves behind his children, Darrick (Jennifer) Furze, Steven (Jennifer) Furze, and Carlie Read, as well as his grandchildren, Camille (David), Dylan, Axel, Ryker, Zach (Jamie), and Carlie Read’s daughter. Edward was also blessed with a great-grandson, Zach (Jamie)'s son.

Edward dedicated his career to Crouse Hinds Co. in Syracuse, NY, where he worked as a machinist until his retirement. The company, now known as Eaton Corporation, was a significant part of his life. Outside of work, Edward was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, often seen cheering passionately for his favorite team. He found immense joy in the companionship of his three dogs, Little-Bit, Oreo, and Boo-Boo, who were his pride and joy.

Edward's life was marked by his love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his passion for his interests. He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved.

In accordance with Edward's wishes there will be no formal services. The family invites those who wish to leave a special message or memory to sign the guestbook.
